1. How to apply for a trademark in the Philippines?
Trademark applications and approvals are made with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines, also known as IPOPHL.




2. Where are you going to register my trademark?
At the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL)





3. Who’s going to register it?
Our staff will register it. We have teams who are experts in this field. Your order will not be outsourced. 






4.  What includes in the trademark fees?
Trademark fees are all inclusive for your application. We will pay for all expenses. There are no hidden fees.






5.  Do you have a lawyer for this?
Yes, we have multiple attorneys/lawyers.


 


6.  How do I know if you have already filed it?
We will provide you with a receipt from the  Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) as a proof that we have filed it.


 


7.  How long will it take?

Typically, it takes just a few days to make the application after we receive your payment. We will then wait up to a year to get a response from the IPOPHL. They will send the answer to us, and we will contact you. If your application has gets approved, we will send the documents to you free-of-charge. If your application has gets declined (generally due to a conflict with another mark), we will consult with you on how to proceed.


 


8.  Will this trademark provide me with protection outside of the Philippines?

No, trademark protection is on a country by country basis. If you would like to apply in other countries, we also can advise you on how to proceed (in "some" cases, there are a few countries that we do not support yet). 


 


9.  Can I have a discount?

If you want to pay for more than one trademark application at the same time, we can give you a small discount.


 


10.  Can I pay after the filing of application?

No, we are a consulting company and collect all fees in advance.


 


11.  What type of invoice are we going provide?

We will provide you with a VAT invoice issued in the Philippines if you have paid in the Philippines. International customers will receive an invoice from our accounting system. 




12.  Can you promise me that my application will be approved?

No, we cannot make that promise. We can assist you with your search and tell you if an application is likely to be approved, or likely to be declined. But we cannot guarantee anything, as the decision is in the hands of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).


 


13.  Another trademark registration company guarantees that I will receive my trademark.

There is no guarantee. The decision is in the hands of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).


 


14.  What if the IPOPHL declines my application?

If your application gets denied, then we will evaluate the reasons, and if you choose, we can appeal the decision. If we appeal, there will be an additional fee charged by our company. This is called an Office Action Response. Please see our website relating to Office Actions.


 


15.  Why are you so much cheaper than the other companies in the market?

We are low overhead, and we want to pass the savings onto you. 


 


16.  Are you a licensed or certified by the IPOPHL?

Yes, we are. We are a trademark agent licensed by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). Don’t be fooled by others who are not. If you want proof, please feel free to ask us, and we'll be happy to provide it to you for transparency. We want you to feel confident that you have chosen the right trademark agent.
